Quick Answers Before You Visit

Do I need to make an appointment to tour the gym?

No appointment is necessary. Walk-in tours happen during all open hours — just introduce yourself at the front desk and a staff member will walk you through the equipment floor, the class studios, and the locker facilities. If you'd like a tour with a coach to discuss your specific training goals, we recommend booking 24 hours ahead by email or phone.

Can I try a class before joining?

Yes — new visitors receive one complimentary class on their first visit at no charge and with no membership obligation. Tell the front desk it's your first time, and we'll get you into the most appropriate upcoming session. You'll need to complete a brief liability waiver, which takes under 2 minutes.

Is there parking at the gym?

Street parking on Chestnut Street is metered until 8 p.m. and generally available during off-peak hours. The Penn Parking garage on 40th Street is a 3-minute walk and validates for two hours with a gym visit receipt. We recommend transit or cycling during peak evening hours, when street parking can be competitive.

What should I bring for my first visit?

Bring athletic shoes with non-marking soles, comfortable workout clothing, a water bottle, and a padlock for the locker room. Towels are provided to all members at no charge. If you're doing a barbell session, chalk is available on the platform. We do not require specialty shoes for first-time visits.

I emailed on a Tuesday evening about personal training availability and had a full response — including a suggested coach match — by 9 a.m. Wednesday. That kind of response time from a gym is genuinely rare. It set the tone for everything since.
